Potholes finally patched on January 21 2026. I complained and they listened. Thanks to Ruben Medina Ward 3 council member. Road department fixed the potholes between E Exposition Ave & Mississippi on Black hawk Street. Behind the Sams Club, Walmart & Home Depot. See the video on Odysee and other social media platforms.

I brought the pot hole issue to Ruben Medina last year around November 2025 but I also brought up a lot of issues in my neighborhood. Two of were addressed and taken care of in less than two months. But the pothole issue was still their. I told Ruben about it again at the Ward 3 meeting on January 14 2026. I got a call from David Shoemaker on January 20 2025 at 12:50 pm MST he works for Aurora Code Enforcement. Talked to him about the pot holes and the high volume of traffic on that road causing it to deteriorate. The next day the road was being fixed by Aurora around 1:00 pm MST. If you have ever driven down that road it is a bumpy ride. I also got an email from Marc Tamburro the Deputy Director of Public Works Operations confirming that the road would be patched and repaired by the end of Wednesday January 21 2025. If your neighborhood has potholes that need to be repaired do not be afraid to speak up and tell your city councilor that it needs to be repaired. Tell them on the phone, email, at a ward meeting or city council meeting so it can be on the record. Road infrastructure is a quality of life issue that mostly everyone would agree need to be solved. No matter what your political party, sexual orientation, race, gender, etc. I have not met anyone yet that loves potholes.

Infrastructure is a quality of life issue for all people. Instead of people fighting over issues that divide us why don't we fight issues that unite us. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. And potholes are my enemy. If you got cheap tires then potholes are definitely going to cost you when you get a bubble in your tire. I recently bought new tires because I drove my car out of alignment for too long causing my front tires to wear unevenly. A costly mistake that was partially caused by potholes. I also do a little bit of off road driving. I do not buy cheap tires so I do not get bubbles in my tires.

I lived in a Tucson Arizona a city that has horrible roads & lots of potholes on every street. If you do not have good tires, suspension then your car is going to have all kinds of mechanical problems. I think the city councilors are spending the money on fentanyl rather than fix the roads. The roads literally looks like the apocalypse over their. Do not believe me have a visit in the winter time when the weather is nice.
