Omyria a Young Black Woman with her Baby Being Roughed Up, Harassed & Arrested by RTD & Denver Colorado Police at Downtown Union Station (Part 1)

December 8, 2025 At around 2:00 pm. I was walking to my light rail train at Union Station in Downtown Denver Colorado USA. I saw a police car with the rear door open & 3 police officers standing near the back seat door. Their was more police officers further away at their vehicles. I then see a baby stroller and a black woman in her 20’s looked to weigh 100 pounds with her hands handcuffed behind her back. The woman was Omaria Marie age 20 who lives in Aurora Colorado. I thought to myself their have better be a good reason why a young woman is being arrested with a baby. What I found out from Denver Police body cam video was that someone called the police because a couple was arguing. I do not know if the argument got physical at the union station or down town but it appeared from the physical condition of the woman she was injured at some point by the baby's father. Update 1/19/2026 according to body cam footage. Omyria stated that the argument was just verbal & not physical at the union station. RTD Police was the department that approached & arrested her. Denver Police transferred her to the sheriffs. RTD is the Regional Transportation District, provides convenient bus and rail service to the Denver metro area

I then saw the woman try to cover the baby with a blanket because it was cold outside. She grabbed the corner of the blanket that was hanging over the opening edge of the stroller. She did NOT reach into the stroller. The stroller was tall to where the woman had to bend over and stand on her toes in order to grab and move the blanket over the stroller. Remind you that the woman was handcuffed behind her back and could only grab the blanket with one hand. As soon as the woman grabbed the blanked RTD Police Officer N. Larkin 2444 then grabbed the woman by her arm & shoved her roughly away from the baby stroller. I heard one of the officers say something similar to “you might have a weapon”. The officer was standing right by her when she grabbed the blanket & the woman could barely move. A total of 3 officers were in arms reach of the woman. I am pretty sure they already checked the stroller & her for weapons immediately when they handcuffed her. Standard procedure is to handcuff and frisk. Trust me I have had it done to me. Another major issue was their was no female officers present. All of the police officers that were present were male. Around 8 officers were near the scene.

(I am trying to get all of their body camera video)

Denver Police Officer Lopez 1379 Note: Most of the body cam footage I got was from his camera

The woman began to yell, complain and ask for a sergeant (higher in chain of command). The sergeant never showed up. I then began to record on my phone the incident. Which was disturbing. See the link below to the full video. A couple of people began to record with their cell phones, show up and complain about the woman being arrested. Marie then asked the RTD police officers and Denver Police officers what their name and badge numbers were. One said his name and badge number immediately. The others were hesitant, scared and only stated it after 3 times of being asked. Officer N. Larking looked scared, looked back at the 3 of us bystanders recording with our cell phones. Was hesitant about stating his name and badge number. But eventually stated his badge number. These officers were definitely worried about this incident being public. Their reaction showed that what they were doing, was something wrong. The woman Marie did yell out the officers names and badge numbers. Which was good because I got it recorded in the video and helped me to public records request the body cam footage. She even stated her name and how old she was which helped me find her. If you or others are in a situation of being arrested, assaulted & harassed by the police it would greatly help to state your full name and full date of birth. If you have a unique name spell out the name preferably in Military Alphabet style or similar. A full name and date of birth can locate someone in the judicial system easily. I only had her birth year and name.

What was also disturbing about the incident, appeared to be a tactic used by the RTD & Denver Police. They surrounded the woman in a strategic manner. Evenly spaced to keep visibility reduced by the people video recording. I wonder if that police training is in the manual and on public record. Probably is and they probably will charge me a lot of money to make a public records request. So please donate so I can expose this tactic. Why would the police have something to hide if they were doing nothing wrong? I know that law enforcement around the country are being trained how to deal with first amendment auditors who video record police. The state of Colorado introduced a bi-partisan bill in the year 2025 supported by Democrats and Republicans making it extremely difficult to get public records. The Governor vetoed the bill. This state is extremely crooked if that is the only thing that Democrats & Republicans can agree on.

What I learned after getting police body cam footage from Denver Police. I am still waiting for RTD Police to give me body cam footage & a police report. I did not know that they are two separate departments and requested the RTD police footage after receiving Denver Police footage. The woman had a warrant out of El Paso County in the State of Colorado. El Paso County is in Colorado. The city of Colorado Springs is in El Paso County. I lived in the southwest and immediately thought of the city of El Paso in Texas. So do NOT confuse the two. I did a public records request for El Paso County and did not find any info about a warrant in the county for Omaria Marie. Update 1/19/2026 I reviewed the body cam footage again, what she stated to Denver PD was different than what she yelled out on my cell phone footage. The name she gave on body cam was Omyria Scott date of birth 10/29/2005. I emailed the El Paso County Sheriffs and gave them the updated name & DOB. But still I gave them a specific date she was arrested and accurate year born which should help find Omyria. The body cam footage that was given to me was not the full video recorded, or the officer turned his body cam off. Because he told Marie that she had a warrant but did not state what it was for. I been arrested for a warrant & they will tell you what it was for. I had footage of two officers one on the computer looking up her records but it cut out the video of him stating what the warrant was. Denver police did not give full video. Redacting information was not an issue because I got her phone number in the video. Which I am not going to make public. I understand that people are innocent until proven guilty. The reason why I want to know what the warrant was for is because if warrant was for some low level, nothing urgent bullshit misdemeanor or probation. They should have just let her go and tell her to deal with it as soon as possible. That way she can go home with her baby. Then another day she can get someone to watch her baby and go to court. Instead they arrested her took her to the Denver Sheriffs department which I have some video of them transferring her. From the Denver Sheriff Department she has to wait for El Paso county sheriffs to extradite her to Colorado Springs then go yo court. According to the body cam footage the police stated they were going to wait for Marie’s grandma to show up and get the baby. Instead of giving the baby to Child Protective Services. Denver Police body cam footage did not show the baby being given to the grandma.

I do believe that their needs to be more security & police presence to help keep passengers safe on the light rail & buses. The unsafe conditions of RTD is one of the main reasons I hate taking public transportation. But I do not want to see a woman with a baby getting arrested for a petty crime. When they arrived their was no issue. The other person left which was the baby's father left. I recently was on the light rail when two adult men were arguing & making threats to each other. One of them said he had a gun and was going to shoot. Which would put all the passengers in danger. Bullets can bounce off metal and we were in a metal box moving at 45 miles per hour. NO police officers showed up. One security officer DE-escalated the situation. Which I congratulated him for his service and professionalism. I uploaded the video online. The man even admitted to the security that he did have a non lethal gun type weapon. It was basically a gun that fired a rubber type bullet. But still if he pulled it out no one would know the difference. That would be a situation were it would be reasonable to detain suspects and have 8 police officers show up on the scene. Their have been shootings at the union station, Killings involving stabbings on 6th street, etc. Far more serious issues, than a woman with her baby child who has a warrant out of another county.

I am going to speak at the RTD board meeting to inform them of this event and try to get expedite the process of getting the body cam footage & documents from RTD. I am also filing a complaint against Denver Police for not giving sufficient evidence. I got the woman's phone number & I am going to try do a phone interview.

estimated 8 or more police officers RTD & Denver Police

Used a tactic to reduce visibility to people video recording, hiding the truth, by surrounding the woman

Someone called police about couple arguing. Woman Stopped arguing with baby's father & he was not present when police showed up

Woman Obviously injured has bruises , scratches, cuts and a big bump on her head

Allegedly has a warrant out of El Paso County Colorado which is most likely out of the city Colorado

Springs. If it was not a serious warrant like a murder warrant then they should have let her go. I could find no public records of a warrant. I might have misspelled her name.

Their have been shootings at the union station, Killings involving stabbings on 6th street, etc. Far more serious issues. Than a woman who appears to be a victim of domestic violence with her baby child.

She lives in Aurora Colorado with family

Body cam footage was cut up, missing video by Denver Police Department. Video Did not state what the warrant was for?

I submitted a public records request with el paso county with the victims name and year born. Said that they could not find any record of that woman and warrants. El Paso was going to charge me $40 dollars for just paperwork about the warrant, arrest & police report. VS Denver only charging $20

Denver police did not give full video. Redacting information was not an issue because I got her phone number. Which I am NOT going to make public. I paid $20 for video. Now I have to pay again to get police report.
