Public Records Already Uploaded to the Internet Archive and Odysee. The Denver Police Officer I investigated was Macias Lopez His Rank is corporal His Max earning rate for 2026 is $123,649. But he made over $210,000 in 2025. Over 80,000 more than his base pay. The two combined sources were overtime from Denver Police & working OFF DUTY for RTD. Officer Lopez has been working for the Denver Police department for 13 years. Ismael Macias Lopez has been working OFF duty for RTD as far back as the year 2022. That is as far back in the past RTD accounts payable will go. The Denver Auditors office knows of this problem but will not stop it nor expose it to the public. This is just one police officer. 2/13/2025 $2,160 + 2/28/2025 $2,160 = 4,320
3/14/2025 $2,160 = 2,160

$123,649 + 31,200 = 154,849 for an annual salary for Lopez
69 off duty police officers were paid on August 1 2025
If officer Lopez works 40 hours a week at 52 weeks a year. His hourly pay is $59.45 His overtime pay is $89.18 If lopez is overtime when working for RTD Then lets take the month of april 2025 when Lopez made $5,400. I am going to divide that by $89.18 For the month of April Lopez worked 60.55 hours of overtime Which equals 15.14 hours of overtime a week. If he was not getting paid overtime he would have worked 22 hours a week off duty for RTD. Now Lopez is a Corporal one rank below a Sergeant. ON average in America a corporal will work 50 to 60 hours a week.
