This article is about an active alleged assault & battery case. Not all of the evidence, facts and testimony that the writer / defendant has will NOT be released due to various reasons including but NOT limited to court defense and NOT receiving all the evidence necessary to defend the accused person Francisco.
On July 10, 2026 at around 2:30 pm MST an alleged assault & battery occurred on and off of Aurora Federal Credit Union property. Address 610 S Abilene St, Aurora, CO 80012. 3 people stated to police when they arrived that Francisco Elvis Soto was homeless & looking into cars. Two people worked for the credit union. 1 person was a security guard that possibly does not work directly for the credit union but for a contractor hired by the credit union.
The Security guard stated that he first saw Francisco in the parking lot at around 1:30 pm. But according to the evidence released (as of writing), NO employees called the police before the alleged assault incident. Instead they took matters into their own hands. No security camera video was released of Francisco in the parking lot and/or near the building "looking into cars" because Francisco Soto did NOT look into cars & is not homeless. Francisco is a member of the credit union and was going to get a money order to pay his rent. Francisco was defending himself from the manager & security guard. Self Defense. Francisco did NOT know that the 3 credit union employees told police, he was a homeless person looking into cars. Until it was only when Francisco Soto received the discovery evidence from city attorneys that Francisco learned of the False accusations of him looking into cars and being homeless. Francisco was shocked and wanted the security camera video that showed him NOT looking into cars. But the city attorney claimed that they gave Francisco all of the evidence. Which only included one security camera video of him. The begging of the video showed Francisco off of the property. Then Francisco and the manager going down the hill into the field. Where is the security camera video of Francisco in the parking lot, near cars and near the building.
As of this writing NO security camera video was released of Francisco in the parking lot or near cars. Is the Aurora city attorney NOT releasing the security camera video evidence? Or is Aurora Federal Credit Union NOT releasing the security camera video evidence? Did Aurora Federal Credit Union destroy & Tamper the video evidence? I believe (but can not prove) that Aurora Federal Credit Union allowed the video evidence to be destroyed.
According to the security guard Francisco was on top of the hill NOT on the credit unions property when the manager Jacob went to his car to get his gloves. Then Jacob went up the hill. When police interviewed the manager Jacob he stated that he confronted Francisco in the parking lot and followed him up the hill to talk to him. When police were in an office reviewing the security camera video's the begging of the video had Francisco on top of the hill. Then some time later Jacob was walking up the hill. The IT employee did not show the police Francisco in the parking lot. Why did he NOT show the police the video? Then a police officer said he would just send him a link and he could upload the video evidence later. Was the video uploaded to the AXIOM police evidence online portal?
The alleged victims who work at the credit union, manager & security guard both had weapons. The manager's weapon was never inspected,acknowledged, and/or confiscated on the date of the incident. The police never asked the security guard if he used his weapon and/ or removed his gun from his holster. If you watch the body camera video's, cell phone video and drone video when police arrive the managers gloves are on his hands. When a police officer is interviewing the manager in the field, the gloves are sticking out of his pocket. Later when police inspect his back and torso in the bathroom because the manager stated he was stabbed with an object. When the manager is in the bathroom their are NO gloves sticking out of his pocket. Where did the gloves go? Did the manager tamper with evidence? Will the Aurora city attorney charge the manager with tampering with evidence? Stay tuned the trial is set for the near future! You should have a seat in the benches and watch.

Francisco is trying to get a subpoena duces tecum aka warrant for the following: His AT&T ping records & call logs to prove his location before the credit union. All the outside security camera videos surrounding the building to show he was not looking into cars. Security camera video of the public area's in the credit union, to prove where was the security guard, receptionist and manager at the time of alleged "looking into cars". Where did the manager get the gloves & where did he dispose of them. Also contact information for customers that were at the credit union around the time of the incident. Maybe a customer saw Francisco walking. Maybe a customer saw some of the alleged assault incident. It is important to have a witness who is does not have a conflict of interest. A witness that does not work at the credit union. Information from the city of Denver licensing department. The security guard is licensed with the city of Denver which for all job they have to do training, submit work history and for some jobs an FBI background check. If the security guard was a former Aurora Police Officer then it will state the year he worked and Francisco can make a public records request to get more information. A warrant for the mobile trailer security camera on the near property with the tree. Which according to records released the police and city attorneys did NOT even request! Also a warrant to get the gloves that the manager had on his hands. If they still exist. Did Jacob Paul Iniguez tamper with physical evidence?
Every time Francisco submits a Subpoena the city attorney's assigned to the case gets a copy. The motions are submitted online. So the city attorneys see what evidence Francisco is trying to get. Is Francisco's warrants justified and reasonable? Does the city attorney want to prevent Francisco from getting evidence? How much influence does the Aurora Federal Credit Union have?
The credit union was founded by city & fire department employees. Most likely & highly probable that a lot of Aurora police officers, lawyers and judges that have money in the credit union. The credit union donates money to the Aurora Police Association. Their is a branch in the Aurora Municipal building. Which shows how connected the credit union is. I have never seen a city municipal building in America that had a credit union in it. Have you? The credit union has two physical locations at the moment and one is in the municipal building. They are building a third branch right now. Their is even an advertisement of the credit union & a credit union ATM in the municipal courthouse. It is a very small credit union.
Opinion and Theory Not Fact
Aurora Federal Credit Union thought they could get away with hiding evidence which is possibly destroyed by now. I believe the board of directors and CEO heard about this incident and wanted to cover it up. Especially after learning that Francisco was NOT looking into cars from the security camera video's and NOT homeless. How would it look if their security guard & Manager was profiling people (like the security guard stated on video) and making false accusations. The security guard stated he was a former Aurora Police Officer. In my opinion back in the old days when police had NO body cameras and racial profiling was practically legal. I did a public records request and was notified that Aurora had NO history of GOETSCH WILLIAM EDWARD working for the city of aurora. Then again the security guard is older and the records may be in an Archive by now.
According to the security guard the manager went to his car to get gloves, which were a weapon. Because they have a hard material on the knuckle area and can cause serious bodily injury. If the credit union released the security camera video of the manager getting a weapon it would be bad publicity. The IT department guy did NOT send video or upload it to the AXIOM police portal link sent to him. If evidence showed the 3 employees lying it would be a very big controversy and bad publicity. I believe the credit union board and/or CEO told the judge, police and city attorney to handle this situation and keep it quiet. To NOT let Francisco get the critical evidence he needs to defend himself.

Close Relationships Between Credit Unions & City Officials is Rare
But Corruption Cases Between Them Has Occurred in Some Cities
Even though Aurora is the second biggest city in Colorado it still feels like a small town and corruption is rampant. All you have to do is use the search words corruption, police, cover up, FBI. With the words "Aurora Colorado". And you will find a lot of valid information and news articles to prove corruption! The Aurora Chambers of Commerce is in the same building that the credit union is in. The credit union owns the building according to County Assessor’s Office Property Records.
It is Not a typical practice seeing a credit union inside a city hall in America. But when Corruption does occur between a credit union and a city elected official and/or city employee. The common thread is when a city official holds a dual role (or close relationship) with a credit union that serves public employees, the overlap in trust and access creates a real vulnerability.
I will be writing of some proven convicted case's of corruption between a credit union and city officials below but first let me expose the overlap with Aurora Federal Credit Union & the city of Aurora. Why residents of Aurora should be concerned & cautious about this overlap of Aurora Federal Credit Union with the city of Aurora.
At large council member Curtis Gardner worked as a board member for Aurora Federal Credit Union for 14 years and now does public sector work in the solid waste industry. Gardner held a senior executive board role at the credit union while simultaneously being a sitting city council member — a direct overlap between city governance and the credit union's leadership. Gardner left the credit union around 2021 to take a public sector role at Waste Management, but the overlap was in effect during his first council term. According to Curtis linked in profile the overlap was more than 1 year! From December 2019 to June 2021.
